START POLLING IN FOUR SIMPLE STEPS!

SMS Poll is the easiest and fastest way to find out what your audience is thinking. Requiring no special hardware or software, you can create a poll in just a few seconds. Your audience votes by sending an SMS to a local phone number and the results are updated right before your eyes, in real-time, in your PowerPoint presentation or on your website.

SMS Poll is ten times less expensive than Audience Response Systems or comparable alternatives and is the best way to gather in-the-moment data from students, fans, customers, conference attendees or anyone else!

Best of all, it couldn't be simpler. In just four steps - Create, Customise, Share, and Vote - you will know more about your audience than you've ever known before!

Step 1 Create

Creating a poll with SMS Poll is so easy, anyone can do it!

Using our simple poll creator and editor, all you need to do is type in your poll question and as many responses as you need.

Create as many polls as you like - there are no limits.

You can start and stop your poll as often as you'd like. Since you might not want to accept votes at all times, you can start it when you're ready for people to vote and stop it whenever you want to put voting on hold.

You can even set your poll to automatically stop accepting votes at a specific date and time in the future. This is good for contests and competitions where voting must end at a precise time. If you don't want your poll to ever end or you want to stop it yourself, then just skip this option.

Once your poll has been created it, it will appear in your dashboard. Here you can see the status of your poll and how many votes it's received.

You can also edit or delete your poll, so don't worry if you make a mistake. Play around and have fun!

Step 2 Customise

SMS Poll lets you customise the look and feel of your poll results. Change colours, fonts, gradients and sizes to make the charts look exactly how you want them to look!

You can even choose to view the charts in full screen.

Best of all, you can select from up to to 9 different chart types. These include 2D Bar, 2D Column, 2D Pie, 3D Bar, Glass Bar, and Sketch Bar. Toggling between the different chart types is as simple as a couple of clicks.

And because SMS Poll uses Adobe Flash (which 99% of browsers already have) to display your results, no special hardware or software is required.

Make your chart look exactly the way YOU want it to look!

Step 3 Share

Once you're poll has been created and customised, it's time to share it with your audience.

By far the most popular option is to include your poll in your PowerPoint presentation. It's incredibly simple to do, but just to be sure we give you a template to download and a few simple instructions to follow. Then you simply run your PowerPoint presentation like you would any other. Your customised chart will appear along with voting instructions for your audience and as the votes pour in, the chart will animate and update in real-time.

You can also include your poll in any Website or Blog. Just take the HTML code we provide, add it to your site, and you're done. We've tested SMS Poll across Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, WordPress, My Space and a host of other platforms so that you don't have to.

And with SMS Poll Web Voting you can also give your audience the ability to vote online. We give you the HTML code you need to include the poll question, possible responses, and voting buttons on your site.

Step 4 Vote

When you start your poll for the very first time, SMS Poll will assign unique voting numbers to each of your poll options.

To vote, your audience simply sends an SMS to a local phone number with the voting number corresponding to the option they would like to vote for as the message.

As an example, let's say you ask the question "What Search Engine Do You Use Most?" And the options are "MSN", "Google", and "Yahoo". SMS Poll may assign "MSN" the voting number "1101", "Google" the voting number "1102" and "Yahoo" the voting number "1103". If someone wishes to vote for "Google", they simply SMS "1102" to the local phone number we provide.

To make things even easier, we have also provided a mobile friendly voting page. This is for those members of your audience who prefer to use their mobile phone web browsers over SMS. By simply visiting m.smspoll.net and entering their vote, they too can participate in your poll.

It couldn't be simpler or cheaper! And as votes are received, your customised chart which you have put in your PowerPoint presentation, on your website, or in your blog, begins to animate and update in real-time. Your audience will be mesmerised and you will know exactly what they're thinking.

When you get back to your computer you can login to your SMS Poll account and get the detailed results of your poll, including precisely when each vote was received. Download the results in Excel and analyse them to your heart's content!
